fifty-two days and counting.

That is how long it is until Karis and I have been married for 2 years.

Before we got married I knew - obviously - that we are very different people. Both of us were raised in very different homes with different styles of parenting. None of which is bad in any sense. But because of these things we have vastly different ways of doing things.

One of the most obvious differences between Karis and I is, that I am inherently neat. Everything has its place and when its not in use it belongs in its place & when it is in its place it must be there nicely. Please understand that I am not saying that Karis isn't neat... it's just... she's not, at least not as much as I am. But being the loving woman that she is she continually tries her best to be as tidy as I like things. Mess equals stress. But when everything is neat & tidy then that's one less thing to stress me out.

Now let me bring this home for you. Millions of people watched the hit television comedy called F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Later in its ten season run the characters, Chandler & Monica got married. For those of you who did watch this show will remember that Monica is psychotically neat, Chandler is not. One day Chandler discovered a locked closest at the back of their apartment. After trying for a long time to get into the closet he finally dismantled the hinges on the door and popped the closet open. What he discovered was nothing less than incredible. The closet was completely full of junk, strewn about in a complete disaster.

So as Karis tries her best to be neat because she loves her husband and understands how it effects my mental state.
