strive to say nothing.

I have nothing to say,

but because I have a blog I feel the pressure to continually come up with something new.

That thought struck me as extremely odd. Many people I know have a blog and write a lot, yet seem to say nothing at all. I find that people usually post about things that are important to them. For example my wife posts about our children. Or a pastor friend of mine posts about his ministry. In fact this is what I found myself doing on a regular basis. I wrote about the thing that were important to me and the things I was interested in.

But then I started looking back and could not find a common theme. It wasn't there. I am a schizophrenic blogger.

For me it works. I can jump from topic to topic and not need to coherence that others need or strive for in their posts.

Now, I strive to say nothing. Unlike others, I don't expect you to listen just because it's out there.

I write for me, it may be nothing important to you, but this space is for me, to express things I think about and wonder. I would be delighted if you contributed to this new endeavour.

I believe you have something to say and I like listening. So keep posting even if it is schizophrenic.

I think you've got something to say... and I read it. But frankly, I actually prefer that your blog is schizo. Mine is too. I tried having a common theme for a while... but what a waste of time that was. Turns out I don't even think in a common theme.

But I also love that your blog is for you. :)
